Landplan Engineering, PA is a civil engineering and land development firm of around 20-25 professionals serving Kansas, Missouri, and Texas. We specialize in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, and Surveying. We have been in business since 1979 and have plenty of sustainable work ready for a new family member to join us!
We have a need for a Civil Design Technician/Drafter fluent in AutoCAD Civil 3D for our The Woodlands, TX office. This career opportunity is not a remote position. You will be expected to work Monday through Friday in the office with occasional errands and trips to project sites required.

REQUIREMENTS
- At least 2 years of Civil 3D experience
- At least 2 years of CAD / Drafting
- Familiarity with basic office equipment
- Ability to clearly follow instructions
- Must have the ability to work overtime, although most weeks consist of 40 hours
- Must be detail-oriented and thorough
- Must have good interpersonal skills
- Must be familiar with civil engineering methods and requirements
- Requires statistical and analytical knowledge using advanced math skills
- The language requirements are reading, writing, spelling, and the ability to communicate clearly in English
DUTIES
- Provide Civil 3D drafting and routine support to other technicians, engineers, and landscape architects
- Perform limited design tasks on street, storm, water, and sanitary projects
- Be familiar with Civil 3D software
- Accurately correct a red-lined set of drawings
- Provide accurate quantity take-offs
- Possess a detailed knowledge of drawing standards and details used on a regular basis
- Prepare visual aids for presentations
- Post marketing ads, materials, and photos to social media
- Have knowledge of subdivision regulations and frequently used specifications
- Assist other technicians and engineers as required
- Maintain client contact on an occasional basis
- Assist all professional staff to meet and fulfill the goals and objectives of Landplan Engineering
- Continue the education process by developing appropriate professional skills to become a reliable and independent team member

- Closely follows all company policies and procedures (i.e., timesheet submittal, expense reporting, work hours, etc.)
You will work on site plans, site grading, storm and sanitary sewer design, road layout, road design, and many other aspects dealing with the physical and naturally built environment.
