JOB DESCRIPTION
Landplan Engineering, PA has an opening for a Landscape Architect or a recent LA grad in our Lawrence, KS office to provide conceptual design, graphic, and plan submittal support for our Planning Department. Our company of 10 – 15 professionals is involved in some of the largest subdivision projects in the country and works on a variety of other engaging projects.

BASIC FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
- Working with the Planning, Survey, and Engineering Departments to fulfill the goals of each project.
- Working with numerous city/county planning staff through project submittal.
- Working with clients to meet development expectations.
- Working with government agencies to secure required permits.
- Continuing the education process by developing appropriate professional skills to become a reliable, independent employee.
OUR DESIRED CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture, or substantial credits toward receipt of same from an accredited institution.
- Prior intern or part-time experience with a landscape architecture, planning, or allied professional office.
- Familiarity and basic knowledge of CAD applications, and at least some exposure to Civil 3D.
- The ability to hand draw, letter, and format drawings, have familiarity with inventory analysis and construction specifications.
- The commitment to see a project through to its completion, be detail-oriented, and have good interpersonal skills.
We are interested in Landscape Architects with experience ranging from just out of school, to the seasoned project manager. Our expected salary of $55k – $80k annually is based on experience and can go higher as warranted by the candidate’s abilities.

EXPERIENCE:
- Sketchup (or similar): 1 year (Preferred)
- AutoCAD: 1 year (Preferred)
