The pictured community center adjacent to the splash pad in the Santa Fe development was completed just as things were shutting down due to COVID earlier this year. It is a lovely building with a lovely new parking lot, and lots of lovely space. Sadly, this brand new facility has been the epitome of where we are told not to go during this COVID ordeal, so all that “new community center smell” just sits there without anyone to enjoy it. It waits to be utilized for the fun and togetherness that it was designed for. Waits to provide summer fun and activities. Waits (as we all do) for things to change. Hopefully the wait for all of us will end sooner rather than later. Until then, hang in there lovely new community center. Someday your jeau de vive will be shared with the world!
